2018 .. it’s been a rollercoaster to be fair! But let’s look back at some highs of 2018!
I saw my cardiac team after 3 years and found out I was young OK and that I’d reach my 30 year post open heart surgery without intervention and that excited me a lot!
Me and Martin headed to Wembley to see united v Spurs In the fa cup semi final and we won!
In May I visited Madrid who had has been top of my travel bucket list for the longest time and I got to visit Real Madrid and do the tour which was fantastic and also on my bucket list! Madrid was warm and beautiful and wheeling around it was fab!
We visited Stratford for the day which was lovely I’ve not been for a while!
We had a heatwave in the uk over the summer!
We (me and the dog ) watched England get to the semi finals in the World Cup!
France won the World Cup!
I shocked the rehab team by using the banana board!
I got fully back into reading & even did some crafting!
I learnt to remove social media for my mental health it was great!
I visited St Andrews again after a long time, it was great to see old & new friends!
I visited Switzerland for the first time ever! Which included two new places in Bern & Geneva! Geneva was amazing and I ticked another bucket list off by visiting and touring the UN, I had a great time!
October brought the annual dinner! Which was a great evening spent with friends including food sharing & stopping the hotel bar from closing! Not forgetting my 7 minute change around!
I finally visited Italy another bucket list location ticked off. We visited Turino and won again Juventus, it was a glorious away end! Then we visited Milan and the San Siro amazing full of history and had a great tour guide an inter fan! Let’s just say though I’m not a fan of …. Italian drivers!
I found & spoke to my 3 half sisters which I never thought I’d do!
Finally I visited Valencia! It was amazing to have some sun In December!
But my absolute main highlight of 2018 couldn’t be brought it was the friendships I’ve made & continued to have. Thank you from one friend to another’s.
