Oh what a night!
Really should be what a day! It was all arranged to meet at dads, then I had a call that there’d be an accident so we’d have to meet at donnington services. So thankfully I’d had a nap, meds & just had to get ready! Once then I meet with Jamie & we went off!
The journey to donnington (Derby way) was alright, although I wasn’t in the best of moods as I had tummy ache!
While waiting for Andy I had text Neil .. no reply and then we got back on the road, I fell asleep! Woke up gagging so had a drink and back to sleep, although I did have a brief chat to Ben at around Darlington!
I slept til we literally was coming into Newcastle! Then I was in such a bad mood I accidentally helped take a few wrong turns! I wasn’t feeling 100% and a long drive wasn’t easy on me! We was doing pre match guesses I proclaimed we wasn’t winning this because I hadn’t heard from Neil! To which my mates were like nah we’ll win and I was like nope, I’m a superstitious person! They both thought I was a bit silly!
We eventually got to the ground around 7.20pm! We met Mef by the lift and chatted briefly! Then up in the lift to the 7th floor and it all went a bit mad!
The tickets implied we was right at the far end .. now I dunno if you’ve ever tried fighting your way through the reds when they are happy and singing but it’s hard, I had to put my best shouty voice on and shout oi a lot! The annoying thing is after getting through the steward said no your in the next section , as we made it through the second time we met Mef who looked equally annoyed! … we got back though and they said nope at which point I was a bit pissed off! We ended up in V20 right by the lift! It was a relief if I’m honest just to get to my space!
I settled in for the match. I absolutely was sure we wouldn’t score in the first half. So on 30 mins I went toilet and locked it then because there’s a failing in lockable radar key doors from inside someone tried to open the door on me! Bloody good job they didn’t fully open the door or everyone would have seen me on toilet!!!
At HT I was trying to get a bit of signal! I somehow got a bit and msg Neil who was in V19 right next to my entrance at V20 despite both efforts to look for each other we failed haha! The important thing for Ole is we had text! Meanwhile Andy came over for a brief chat, I was feeling unwell & trying to spot Neil & Ben So wasn’t really engaged in the conversation!
Second half I said to my mate who I was sat next to, we’ll win this now! Sure enough we did! 2-0!
We got away from the ground and I couldn’t settle so we was all chatting and I said see I told you lucky text would work! I don’t think they believe me though!
Everyone started lagging so minimal chatter and mainly screen time! I tried my new battery pack out and I’ve got to say it was great, I’ll do a review of it properly maybe tomorrow!
I’d got a few texts so I knew friends had got home safely which is always good to know!
Eventually we got back home via a petrol station! By 2,45am everyone had partied ways an I was on my bed with Troopy, Who decided it was a great time to play .. cause u do Troopy!
Before I knew it, it was 7.15 and Alexa was telling me to wake up, cheers! I doubt I’ll do Newcastle again!
