I have been really busy this past week with appointments I have felt like I’ve not stopped.
I was excited to properly understand my hearing loss. I’ve known I had a hearing loss since I was around 5 years old. I didn’t fully understand but I knew I needed hearing aids, I got bullied so didn’t wear them and become experienced in lip reading!
I saw an ENT who took time to sit and explain I can only hear in one ear the sound of a jet engine! And have in both ears a small problem with my cochlear so the other ear has some loss just not as much!
There is a very long waiting list for an operation but I’m really not sure I want to have it done it would give me full hearing but it’s the op that scares me & im not sure I’m ready to enter the hearing world
