It’s a classic Vicky blog today! I’m sorry it’s late the dog had to go the vets more on that tomorrow!
It’s an 8.15pm kick off Man Utd v Arsenal, we wasn’t sure if we could attend due to medical appointments lucky we managed to make it & billy got us last minute parking!
The traffic was heavy and we didn’t leave until an hour Togo! Lucky we can either go motorway or A roads and we got there with 15 minutes to spare!
It was time to wrap up scarf & hat coat and blankets all at the ready! Then it was time for the short walk up to the lift before going to the 7th level and onto the platform at the top of the Stretford end!
Well we won’t talk about the arsenal goal, shouldn’t have been allowed!
We was lucky though to have Bruno score for us! Before it was half time!
At half time I saw our DLO for a chat about a few things and had a wonder to see if any of my friends were on the platform.
Second half saw 3 goals first from Ronaldo (number 800 career goals ) and how united sang, arsenal then scored. Our player was brought down in the area but the ref didnt give a pen but good old VAR showed the ref it was in fact a penalty! You guessed it Ronaldo stepped up and scored (801 career goals). How the Stretford end sang again!
The game ended at 3-2 to united and we was away back to the car it only took us 22 minutes to get home! That short journey never gets old!
Firstly I wanted to say how gutted I was to hear Carrick decided to step down & leave the club what a superb servant he has been In sure though that he’ll be at old Trafford or an away ground soon!
Secondly good luck to Ralph our new manager who starts in the dug out on Sunday!
Finally I was disgusted to hear from friends and see on twitter how disabled fans were yet again subjected to more hassle from the arsenal away fans, do better representing your club, throwing beers and plastic cups and coins into a disabled area what type of fan throws such things into an area of disabled fans? Disabled fans shouldn’t be leaving games soaked from opposing fans throwing stuff or needing medical treatment. The club need to address this.
