Match day blog – The Manchester Derby (H)
Hey guys,
It’s the last night match of the season and I am ready for the end of the season now! However let’s rewind back to the Manchester Derby … if we have to!
I feel like I repeat myself a lot on these and next season I’ll be shacking it up, but anyone!
I did the normal prep for a night game and before I knew it I was meeting up with Jamie, shay and Adam, he’s a blue!
We ended up coming off before hitting the m56 and going through sale and that way as it seemed best then we ended up on the m60 but the opposite side, first time for everything!
We then went through chorlton and into a normal parking space! We then went down to the stadium. Strange being there before Helen as there normally first there! I chatted to the DLO as had to tell him Andy wasn’t going to make it.
We went into the ability suit but it was boiling hot and so I went outside into the corridor!
I’d briefly spoken to Ben who was missing the match, we had predictions of 5-0 from Neil & Adam (I thought it said 4-0 until I read it back lol) I love how optimistic the lads were!
I ended up sitting by Adam who supports city as it meant he was near his supporters instead of united! I didn’t mind though, it was quite interesting insight if I’m honest, I like different perspectives both of the united team & city opinions.
Me & Adam both agreed we played well in the first 20 mins and if we’d had scored it would have been a different game. We both also agreed that Sane changed the game for city.
It’s disappointing that we had items thrown down from the city fans.
City won 2-0 In the end.
The thing what gets me is we just don’t seem to have any steam left, much like me I guess! The players just aren’t playing, maybe for many reasons but you’d expect them to be up for the Manchester Derby wouldn’t you?
The journey home was long and painful, thankfully I had Adam (red) for company and really appreciated that.
I was glad to get home and into my bed, there’s only 3 games left and a decision to be made over season ticket renewal in the next week.
I’ve got the first part of my season review written up so I’ll post that soon.
