Good evening,
Today we look at sights in Paris!
Sport
Now if your like me you may well enjoy some sporting sights! If you like Roland Garros the home of the French open! Sadly you can’t do a tour currently due to security but you can of course do the museum and get pics from the gates, if you like tennis it’s worth a visit for only €8 or €7 if your disabled!
The Stade De France the main stadium In France. If your like me you will enjoy looking at football stadiums when they are peaceful! I love the architecture of stadiums old & new. You can do an English tour for €15 make sure you book an English tour, although the French tours are cheaper!
Other – Things to see
The most iconic landmark is the Eiffel Tower and of course you can get pics within the gardens with the tower as your back drop or you can go up the tower but although you get views you won’t get a view with the tower, surly the most iconic part of the skyline. Anyway to go up the tower it’s advisable To pre book or risk long queue’s the cheapest is around €10 but this is with stair access if you want the lifts your tickets will cost more! However a disabled ticket will cost you a max of €7!
The alternative to this is visiting the Montparnasse Tower which isn’t far from the Eiffel Tower and gives you a different view that includes the Eiffel Tower! The cost of this is €18 but if your disabled you can get a free assistance ticket on the day, you can’t pre book an assistance ticket.
The Arc de Triomphe is another great land mark to see. If you are able to climb over 200 steps you can go to the top from £10 upwards. Or you can just get a picture!
Notre-Dame is another must see you can see parts for free and other will cost €10 the architecture alone is worth a visit!
The Louvre Museum if your into art you must visit! Although you will need a good few hours! The cost is between €15 and €17 and if your disabled you can visit for free along with your Pa
Tours and tickets
Sightseeing can be expensive if you want to do a lot over a few days so one way is to buy a city pass. A two day pass is €139 but this also includes metro travel for the full time of you pass you can also buy for 3, 4 and 6 days it’s worth considering if your going to do a lot of traveling in the city & sightseeing.
You can also look at bus tours which are hop on and hop off valid for 1 day it’s €35 and has 2 x routes.
Finally you can look at boat cruises. There’s different options but they range from £13  you can do a single tour or a hop on & hop off tour! It’s not for me as I don’t like traveling on water it makes me a bit sick but on a hot summer day I can definitely see the attraction!
Finally if you fancy a trip out of Paris but close enough to travel to & from within a day why not check out Versailles. You can get the train from central Paris to Gare de Versailles Chateau Rive Gauche and then you can walk to the palace it’ll take you about 10 minutes. The train ticket should cost around €7 and the palace tickets start from £16 including audio guide.
Of course there’s many other places and things to see and do in Paris including that of great places to eat & drink this is just a brief look at sightseeing in Paris.
