Burnley at home – match day blog
Evening all!
It’s back to football today!
Well a crazy kind of day being honest!
The day started with my cousin Carolyn! Today we went shopping, which meant no nap! I had to pick up some winter boots that was ordered online from next and my nearest next is the next town so off we went!
Now I havnt had boots since I got rheumatoid many reasons really but I am so happy to have boots again and can wear cute outfits! (I am positively sure you don’t want to hear about that lol)
We also got a few others bits that we both needed and a hot chocolate for us both! Then we went off home to charge my phone, try on my boots they fit, success! Then Carolyn left and my brother came to do my gel & I got dressed!
I’d spoken briefly to Jamie to arrange a meet time and I was off to my dads where we meet as it’s in the middle!
Before I knew it we was all in the car heading for the motorway. Now I said that it was best Togo up the m42 and m6 toll but Jamie & his mate Matt were insistent we went up the m5 & m6 .. I was not convinced! Safe to say I was right on this occasion!
We got stuck in awful traffic on the m5 in the end we had to exit due to the length of time to wait. Which was fun we ended up on country roads with snow on, never a dull journey! We eventually arrived back on the m6!
We had a stop off and off we went again! In total it took us about 4 hours to get up to Manchester and it was a slog at times! Although amusing hearing footie stories from Jamie & Matt at times! I had a brief chat to Andy who said weather wasn’t to bad and a chat to Ben & Neil who were all positive!
We had predictions of .. Neil & Matt 3-0 united, Ben had a 4-1 united and I went 2-0 united, we was all Positive and Jamie said he was not doing a prediction!
Before I knew it we was off down to the stadium, I had noticed salt was all over the place! We had forgotten my bag as well, it was in the car!
When In the stadium I got to chat to Andy briefly before kick off and went up and saw my friends from Burnley, joe & Peter was great to see you both!
The first half ended 0-0 and it felt sluggish too. I had another chat with Andy!
The match ended 2-2 and I tell you what when victor scored his goal Jamie was off down the platform, I think he had a lot of adrenaline he told me his heart rate was up to!
Going back to the car it was bitter! The car was frozen more worryingly I couldn’t feel my toes! I briefly saw Andy well I heard Andy!
Then the long drive home, the m6 was closed sadly so a detour around stone & stoke was had, I had a message from Ian & Gary & Dax to see when I’d get home, it was nice to know they cared!
When we got to Jamie’s car it was frozen it was -3 and he had to yank the door open!
I got home at 1am, frozen and feeling the rheumatoid in my knees, I couldn’t move my joints! I messaged to say I was home, I remember pulling my blanket on next thing I knew it was 7.30am
Have a good week reds
