Cardiff away .. last away of 2018
Morning all,
Saturday madness! I’d pre charged my little green battery pack! So I had to get my medication sorted and then get dressed and ready with mince pies, not for me though!
I was to meet Andy & Jamie at my dads as he lives in a small village it’s easier and safer to leave the cars there! Jamie arrived first, I mean he was late, but who isn’t! Andy was also late due to problems on the motorway!
So I’m sat in the car .. we set off I’m fully engaged in the conversation and partly watching shays iPad! We get on the m5 and come off to join the m50 I remember the roundabout .. then I’m gone, I wake up in Wales!
Jamie got shouted at by the police to stop LOL we then realised it was the united bus so we followed it to the stadium .. no traffic police escort! Then realised we was in the wrong place haha! The steward directed us round to the away car parking thank you For the parking mate!
We parked literally outside the away end. As we was getting out, the bully pulled up next to us, my stomach flipped and I again felt on edge, when will it end, soon I hope.
On the concours, beer & coffee was consumed and I tried to get hold of Neil to hand out the mince pies, the lad is illusive! The concourse was bouncing! Singing loud and proud about “ole” getting the ball in the Germans net!
Before long we headed to our seats as it gets a bit lary in there and I didn’t fancy getting covered in beer or people landing on my lap!
The view was alright, I was sat next to Pete who I met in Valencia so we caught up and spoke about Paris, which is in March! I mean the stewards were absolutely useless standing in front of us! But it was one lively and utterly happy away end and scoring 5 goals the madness of it! Of course there are bigger tests to come but for now we’ll enjoy that victory, until Boxing Day anyway!
The drive home was so quick 1 hour 40 minutes! I managed to stay awake! It was funny I’d said to Jamie earlier in the day will shay chuck his iPad if it runs out of charge / data .. Jamie said no he’ll probably hand it to you! Well let me tell you his iPad did run out and he did throw the iPad! Famous last words eh Jamie!
I was home for match of the day, that never happens! What a treat that was! Before long it was time to head to bed with a stern look at the dog, who had a chew on my cushion, he’s so cute you gotta forgive him! Cuddling up with the cats was the perfect ending to the day!
I was asleep so quick, have a good Christmas reds and see you on Boxing Day!
Mince pies never made it to Neil & the monkey bus but my friends in the car & dad will enjoy them!
