Hey guys,
Today’s blog is a special one well to my heart anyway.
My grandad “Charlie” was really special to me he was my hero. He was a Birmingham city fan, bluenose. When I was born I was a bluenose too because he was the main man in my life.
As I got older, me and grandad would talk blues, watch blues and listen to blues together. Grandad was a born and breed Brummie born on Tilton road! All his family were bluenoses it was a hazlewood thing.
I still look out for blues but as my step dad was a united fan well I ended up with two teams in my life!
I havnt been to St. Andrews for around 15 years, one of the main reasons I stopped even my annual visit was it was a painful reminder that grandad was no longer with us, blues to me is grandad and happy memories with him.
Tomorrow I’m going BACK to see blues play .. back where my football story began. I’ve a mixed of excitement and nervousness because I’ve not been in the wheelchair and it’s also my brothers first time at St. Andrews!
Grandad I’m sure will be watching with pride as peter takes his first steps into St Andrews.
I’ll blog about my day tomorrow
KRO ….
