Evening,

I had a totally different blog for tonight but I changed my mind after listening to the queens address to the country.

At 35, I never really felt the things my grandparents spoke of but hearing the Queen speak tonight and hearing the daily updates from our politicians makes me think back to my grandparents and what they’d say about old times.

The last 3 weeks (tomorrow) has shown the best & worst in people shown me community spirit northern style. Made me miss my home town and my family, who I’m  planning a cousin house party (via the app) with next week, times like these bring families & friendship groups together.

When this is all over and we get to see our families again and see our friends again make sure you thank those who were there for you & hug those who were on the front line during all this, the medical professionals we all know, the care workers & the key workers keeping the country going and those that want to do their bit but are keeping there children safe or have medical issues themselves.

Most importantly though remember how this has felt and hug those loved ones harder & keep calling those friends & family who live a far and cherish those football days even in the rain & bitter cold because when it was gone we were all lost.
