Match day 5 – wolves away
Hey guys,
It’s the first away game of the season and united head do Wolves on a Monday night, due to wolves playing in the qualifiers for the Europa league.
Now id like to take you back to my ”things I want to do next season” blog & boom completed one.. I took Adam to an away game and I tell you he was excited! I was excited to be getting back to my away day friends!
Before we get into it id arranged to see Neil at wolves, I tell you what we are absolutely useless ha! However I know we will catch up at some point on the road this season and if not we will always text pre match, cuz we are mates and plus I know Neil has my back and can’t thank him enough for being there for me this off season, we had some laughs through my tears!
Now let’s get on to the match day blog!
I was running late again ha ha! However Neil text 3-0 prediction and I said a win will do me after last season! I’d also spoke to Katie & Ben! Adam was hoping for a win on his first away!
The sat nav took us on A roads near Merry hill it was a strange old trip, but hey what’s an away day without a weird journey! We parked away from the stadium as it’s easier to get away after the match. Which meant crossing a main road & going down a big hill!
First stop was adam getting a match day program & one for his brother! I never get programs so it’s a bit of a new routine! We then headed for Adam to get some food. Ive had it on good authority his burger was top but not as good as the one at old Trafford!
I then briefly caught up with Laura outside and then it was time to head Into the stadium. The stewards at wolves are really friendly & helpful on a whole to disabled fans!
We then headed to our seat and noticed that the wheelchair section had improved as we were no longer pitch side instead we were on a raised platform with our fans behind us. Personally thought it was a good improvement.
Wolves have also had a new toilet installed which is huge its outside the main stand but fully accessible. It was a great addition. I hear from Laura they are also improving there audio description service which is good news and shows how far wolves are moving forward to make the match day experience accessible & good for everyone regardless of if your a home or away fan.
Anyway half time came and another first for me, I was on my way to concourse. I tried to ring ben & Neil but signal is shocking! It was mad busy the reds in full voice too! As always reds moved out the way from me, a compliment about my new hat, thanks again Jamie! Adam got to let some steam out chanting! Then we caught up with Ben briefly a hug and we was away! We also met Rick briefly who was stood behind us!
The game ended 1-1, which considering we lost both games last season I see it was progress and I’ve got to say harry Maguire makes a huge difference to our defence!
It was time to head home, Adam had to push me up the big hill! We walked up with Ben and chatted about the game and then headed to the car!
We went back home via the motorway and we stopped off for ice cream!
Next stop… Crystal palace at home
