Hey guys!
Day two in the French capital and the reason we was there it’s match day .. with a difference!
I woke up, feeling nervous and full of hope my normal routines not there and not seeing some of my normal mates. It was a cold winters day, well it felt it anyway!
My day started with a chat with Ben about my plans and his hoping we’d catch up later, then a quick chat to Neil with promise he could use my portable mobile charger later as he’d forget his! Actually didn’t think he’d use it if I’m honest as we always miss each other at games!
My day started with a taxi to the Eiffel Tower to locate the ticket collection point, let me tell you it was not a good moment. Obviously Man Utd had a boat of the river, obviously! I’d spoken to Ben who’d collected his tickets already and said about the steps, I was hoping united had told me the truth about the ramp! Anyway we got to the steps saw the boat and united fans below. We eventually found the ramp access (I use this lightly) the start of the pavement was what I’ll describe as small I couldn’t get my wheelchair on it, I’ve got a small chair to! So off I go on the road with cobbles, nice one! We eventually got to the boat where by I didn’t even have to give my name they knew who I was lol! I looked out to the river and instantly felt sick! I exited quickly! We met Richard outside who said Zoe didn’t want to come down due to the cobbles so was up at the top! We walked the other way down the river to another exit point again on the road due to cobbled pavement, nice one!
Next stop was the Louvre and a walk into the fashion district of Paris what a place that was! I had spoken to Ben who was also heading there but when we got there he’d met up with the boys and so wouldn’t see him at the Louvre! However by the time I’d reached it the rain was coming down and half of Paris was inside! I did however go in and get to see paintings & sculptures.. how different on a match day!
We went back towards the tower and I’d msg Ben again but he wasn’t in the same area! I got a taxi back to my hotel to have an hour rest and then head to the stadium!
