Good evening,

It’s been about a week since I blogged unfortunately my focus just wasn’t on writing I’ve had a few things going on all around the cardiac part of my life.

Firstly last Wednesday I was due to go and see a cardiologist at barts unfortunately my brother got sick and so I’ve had to re-arrange for later in the year, I’d hoped to go before my up coming holidays more for peace of mind than anything else.

I’m lucky that throughout my life I’ve known a group of kids I’ve known since my days at children’s hospital who like me are all adults now and have gone to have kids, get married and success jobs, I’m so proud of them all.

Thanks to social media the net opens wider and you meet older chd adults, friends around the world and of course parents who your story can give hope to. I’m so so thankful my heart story can give hope to others.

Only yesterday I was talking about going to visit a new cardiac hospital on Friday and being apprehensive and had questions about parking etc and people gave both advice & reassurance which was great, we are are strong and close community.

Unfortunately over the years we have friends who pass away from our dodgy hearts, they will be never forgotten, wether we were 1 when we meet and it affected our patents more to becoming adult.

In the past week I lost a friend Pete who’d id meet through the CHD community. We had many late night chats about life, how we coped and just random chats about business, photography and education. I shall miss our chats peter.

My thoughts are with Pete’s family, daughters and friends.

The only thing I realised after finding out about Pete was just how close our community is sometimes we may not realise it but we are it’s truly a special thing to have in your life.
