Birmingham city a club my grandad was such a huge supporter and the team I saw first play live at St. Andrews. A team that I hold dear to my heart due to my grandad, I’ve not been to St. Andrews for many years but I always look out for the blues so I thought I’d through my opinion in at the current situation ..
I remember my grandad telling me “following blues Is like being on a rollercoaster” and I think any blues supporter would agree, I mean I just follow the results and at times I’m on the edge of my seat!
The end of the last season 15/16 blues were nearly relegated to division 1 lucky thanks to Harry redknapp they were saved from the top and as Harry signed a deal there was great hope and expectation amounts blues fans ..
The new window opened and blues actually brought players in quite a lot, I mean it was unprecedented for blues to spend so much money in a transfer window.
Unfortunately Harry didn’t work out, who knows and the club brought in Steve cotterill to see what he could do with effectively Harry’s squad.
Well blue drew with villa ..
Then the fans turned at Barnsley and can you blame them the team can not string results together, blues now in the bottom 3 fans already looking at division 1 teams potential away days.
BUT what’s going on?
I sit and wonder if the team can not gel, to many new faces not enough blues running through the team, not enough understanding what the club means to the fans the city, the history of the club. This is where Craig Gardener comes into play imo
The dressing room needs a good shack a bit of a stern grip on the group, just makes me wounded if Steve is the right man is he stern enough?
Of course the fans have there part to which they always do, they turn up every game, home & away they sing there hearts out, they have passion they have blues pumping through there veins.
So come on blues sort it out, stay in the championship .. blues is a sleeping giant it needs wakening and soon
Keep right on
