Barcelona away – match day blog
Hey,
I slept really well Monday night, surprisingly! There again I’d had quite the day Monday!
I had a slow start to Tuesday just hanging out at the hotel! After getting my map out I decided that with the game later and wanting to rest up before the madness of the Barca game it was time to hit up the unfinished cathedral!
Thankfully my hotel was literally round the corner! When I saw it I was taken aback by the beauty of the cathedral, it just had so many aspects from the outside we walked, well rolled around the Basilica de la Sagrada Família and then popped into the shop! I wasn’t going to go into the main cathedral but I do love a cathedral it’s the architecture of them!
We asked the security guard where we can obtain tickets and he said we got in free due to the wheelchair, result! So he went and got tickets for us and off we went through security!
First up was the museum part which was good and layout well for wheelchairs!
Then it was time to head into the cathedral it’s self. I’ve got to be honest it blew me away! The light reflectors & how light and open it was really was amazing and so disabled friendly! I was gutted I’d forgotten my camera in the panic to get ready but had my trusty phone!
After leaving the cathedral we popped across into the park and had ice cream in the sun, you can’t beat an ice cream! Then we left Togo back to the hotel to rest up!
After resting we headed to the Nou Camp I was excited to see it as it’s a stadium I’ve wanted to visit and I’m glad I visited it!
The game was crap but at least I can say I saw messi at the Nou camp!
It was an hour walk back to the hotel, where drinks were had before heading to sleep!
We was out of Europe for this season but I was glad to have been In Barcelona!
