Back when I went into a wheelchair I made a bucket list to show myself and others that You can still do things in a wheelchair. One of those things was to go to a boxing match and it’s finally happened so I’ll take you along on the day!
We were up early and Adam had a breakfast at the hotel before we headed out. We needed to top up on petrol and was really shocked at the prices in my home town, so we headed down to the next town and it was lower by around 20p!
Heading down to London wasn’t a bad trip even the m25 was kind to us!
Arriving at the Tottenham hotspur stadium I admit went wow! We were parking in the underground car park it was huge!
We got to the lift and a kind Tottenham employee said he’d take us to our seats and along the way he pointing out things like the bewery and the fact it’s the first prem league to be echo friendly! The thing that made my mind blow is it had roll away pitches as it has 3!
Anyway our seat was great. We went to buy a program it was £20 I was shocked but we’d committed at that point!
Waiting for Fury match and I became so cold! Thankfully the steward contacted the Tottenham staff who produced another blanket for me which made me warmer!
The boxing it’s self was great. The atmosphere was electric it was so strange singing god save the king. The seats were fab too!
The boxing ended in round 10 on a technical knock out and fury was the winner! His speech after was great and he called out a couple of boxers!
We was super glad to get back to the car and the heated seats! It took until nearly 3am to get home!
Adam isn’t used to small semi rural towns and was mortified no McDonald’s or other places were open for a snack! So it was time for meds & bed!
See you tomorrow!
