Hey,

So today I feel like it got real for everyone. For me I have several long term conditions, tetrology of fallots, rheumatoid arthritis & asthma so I’m in the “at risk” group, what this means for me 12 weeks self isolating some are choosing to social distance for me it’s not worth the risk.

Mentally 12 weeks inside for someone with anxiety & depression honestly isn’t good. I’ve had a few anxiety attacks and I’m scared. I however know that it’s best for my physical health and so I have to now look at managing my mental health, blogging, recipe hunting as I’m teaching Adam new skills! I’m not sure what else yet but I’ll let you know as we go along.

Social media is great in some ways keeping in touch but can also be very scary for people with anxiety right now.

It means mostly I won’t see my family or friends for 12 weeks and that honestly is the hardest thing with football finished too that helps my depression as gives routine, seeing friends & just chatting.

I’m grateful for all those that have reached out to me, sent paracetamol as I couldn’t get any. The texts & Facebook messenger chats have meant the world.

So I guess my message to everyone is reach out to friends & family everyone will be glad to hear a friendly voice or a text from a mate. The football community reach out to your match day friends … especially the vulnerable ones they will need there friends more than you know.

Keep safe, keep health & listen to the government you social distancing could save a life, it could stop someone like me getting very sick.
