Hey guys!
It’s Match Day 1 of the season & it’s a preseason match for me! I headed to the Principality stadium in Cardiff for the international champions cup between Manchester United & AC Milan!
My day started early well it always does! I had my medication early & then I just relaxed for a while!
Before long it was time for me to pack my bag ready for football! After that it was time to get dressed before heading to the meeting point!
I met up with Jamie, his dad & Shay, it was great to see everyone again after the summer! Today we went in Jamie’s car! This meant getting out of mine & Jamie lifting me into his, we managed it really well! Then we were off to Cardiff!
The journey down wasn’t too bad we went M5, m4 well I think that’s the route I fell asleep at one point! It was really hot & humid at home so I hadn’t worn a jumper! When I woke up it was raining I was not impressed and was just thankful I had brought my coat with me!
Getting out the car as the rain was coming down meant I had to use my blanket over my knees as if they get wet or cold they flare up & I really don’t need that right now!
The staff at the stadium were so helpful! Escorting is from the security point to our seats! Me & Jamie had a drink before the match, Jamie said the beer was hot, so wasn’t ideal!
The game it’s self In the first half wasn’t great bar the goal from Marcus Rashford! The second half seemed so much better with the introduction of some of the younger players!
It was great to see our current new signings in Daniel James & Wan Bissaka on the pitch thought both players gave us things we were missing last season, let’s see if we can get anyone else in now!
The roof has been closed In the stadium so it was really humid inside! The view from the platform was pretty good I thought. The bar had a dedicated wheelchair part that was lowered so that was good. I didn’t use the toilets but they had a disabled toilet right by my section and a steward stood there with a radar key.
The walk back or should I saw roll saw us again pass Cardiff castle so I got Jamie to take a picture for me and he took a picture of the founder of the NHS (well his statue!) we found the car relatively easily, which is always a relief!
Then it was time to head home! Match day 1 for season 19/20 complete!
