Match day blog – Liverpool at home
Good evening,
Before we start into the match day I just want to say a huge thank you to all those who sent birthday wishes be it on text, WhatsApp, twitter or Facebook it was very much appreciated.
Saturday I got a message from Shaun who I’ve been friends with for ages and we was chatting about football and he had a checks prediction of 2-1 to united! Helen also predicted a win on Saturday evening!
Sunday morning was an early start! Once I’d got up and woken up a bit I checked my social media and had a message from Ben who was feeling positive about the days game and you can help but being positive with Ben around well I think so! I had a brief chat to Helen to who was on the coach with Sophie early!
Before I knew it I was getting my meds and getting ready to go! I was a bit apprehensive about going as I’d been having some dizziness and a few chest pains but I wasn’t going to miss the Liverpool match!
The journey up if I’m honest I don’t remember much of I fell asleep, which isn’t like me, well not going up the motorway! But I did wake up once to see we was in the only lane moving around stoke so that was good!
I had a brief chat to Neil who predicted 3-1 which I thought was bold and wished me a happy birthday weekend, thanks again Neil! I went with 2-0, everyone was just so optimistic!
Once we parked up I had to pop to Tesco to pick something up then a wheel down sir Matt buddy way to get a United we stand mag as it has Ander Herrera interview and he’s my favourite player, just saying! I met Anthony and had a brief chat, lovely to meet you after our cricket chats!
The first half wasn’t good for us as we had to make all 3 subs but it ended 0-0 so wasn’t too bad. Although sadly the Liverpool fans did ruin a minutes applause for Eric Harrison which was disappointing.
Half time tea & chats with Ann Marie, Helen & Sophie! Ann Marie gave me a birthday card & gift thanks so much Ann Marie, id opened helens gift on my birthday thanks Helen & Sophie. We do love our chats! Nathanial also came over and spoke to me and wished me happy birthday in person thanks Nathanial. The head security guy also came for a chat, nice to meet you!
The second half we had a goal disallowed for being offside which was disappointing! The game ended 0-0 which wasn’t exactly what we’d hoped for and it felt like 2 points dropped but with the injury’s we couldn’t be too disheartened!
The worse part of the match for me was when I was seeing two of everything as I’d gone really dizzy and nearly threw up!
The best thing was the Atmosphere inside old Trafford it was electric you could feel the fans behind the team, although I still had Liverpool fans behind me singing at times!
The journey home wasn’t too bad considering with various traffic and a little detour! With chatting to Jamie & texting Ben it wasn’t too bad as I do enjoy chatting with Ben!
Mef was also keeping me up to date with the league cup final on the journey home!
Once home I rested up and hugged the cat! Thoughts turned to the ballot for the FA cup and wondering if we’d get tickets.
